April 2013 sales were 25,745 compared with 24,540 vehicles sold in April, 2012, which represents a 5 per cent increase.”Our Ram truck sales are absolutely on fire as April marked another all-time record,” said Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Canada. ”More and more consumers are recognizing that our Ram Trucks with best in class fuel economy, torque and towing capability are the right choice.Sales Highlights:In addition to already receiving the 2013 North American Truck of the Year and Motor Trend Truck of the Year, the 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn has just been named one of Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2013, in a list compiled by WardsAuto, while Ram trucks continue to represent Canada’s longest lasting line of pickups. With its best-in-class fuel economy, extraordinary technology and outstanding capability, the all-time sales record achieved by Ram trucks in April 2013 is well deserved. 8,020 trucks were sold, compared with 6,129 sold in April 2012. These results maintain Ram’s position as the number two selling vehicle in Canada.The Windsor built Chrysler Town & Country also set an all-time record in April 2013 with 980 vehicles sold, compared with 900 sold in the same month, one year ago. The Chrysler Town & Country is the industry’s most innovative and versatile passenger and cargo vehicle in its class. It was also named a “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in 2013.The passenger car story continues to unfold with strong sales results for Chrysler Group, thanks in part to the all new Dodge Dart.
