With most of the facility operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it conducts 85 percent of vehicle testing scenarios including impact barrier tests; safety sled; emissions build and testing; emissions development and certification; powertrain calibration; performance and fuel economy; corrosion tests; and brake systems development and certification.The Company announced in September 2018 that it has invested more than $30 million at the facility to further development and testing of autonomous vehicle and advanced safety technologies.
