Detroit Public Library, Forgotten Harvest and The Chrysler Foundation Partner to Feed Hungry Young Minds

September 3, 2013 It is widely recognized that children cannot concentrate and learn when they’re hungry. In response, the Detroit Public Library (DPL), Forgotten Harvest and The Chrysler Foundation have partnered to provide free nutritious snacks to school-aged children who attend after school reading programs at DPL sites throughout the city.

 Chrysler Group Donates $500,000 to Kokomo Family YMCA

August 14, 2013 Chrysler Group LLC today, announced a donation of $500,000 to support the Kokomo Family YMCA's planned new facility. The new 73,000-square-foot building, to be located in downtown Kokomo, will offer area residents more amenities than the current YMCA including a health and wellness center, double gymnasium, an indoor running track and a lap pool.

Chrysler Brand Partners With United Way for Southeastern Michigan and Scholastic to Donate 148,500 New Children’s Books to Metro Detroit Youth

July 1, 2013 Starting mid-July through September, Chrysler brand will partner with United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) and Michigan No Kid Hungry to distribute 148,500 Scholastic children’s books at summer “Meet Up and Eat Up” events, Early Learning Communities, health centers and an elementary school within the metro Detroit area.

December 18, 2012 Today, Chrysler Group LLC's Mid-Atlantic Business Center (MABC) presented representatives from the Toys for Tots Foundation with a check for $150,000. This represents a $100 donation for every Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Dodge Journey sold since Nov. 12 when the program commenced. In fact, the MABC is still making a $100 donation for every 2012 and 2013 minivan and Journey sold through Wed., Dec. 26, so the total donation to the foundation will amount to more than the $150,000 presented today! This donation will be put toward purchasing holiday gifts for families in need within communities in the Mid-Atlantic (VA, WV, PA, DE, MD, southern NJ).
