January 15, 2013 Chrysler brand announced today that the Chrysler Town & Country won the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award in the “Minivan” category for a record 12th consecutive time. The creators of the minivan, Chrysler has been receiving this award since 2002. For 2012, 31.2 percent of all returning Town & Country minivan owners bought another Town & Country, according to Polk analysis.
January 10, 2013 Chrysler Group LLC rang in the New Year taking the sales lead in the segment it created back in 1983. Dodge Grand Caravan was the best-selling minivan in the United States in 2012 with 141,648 units sold, a 28 percent increase from 2011. America’s most awarded minivan, the refined Chrysler Town & Country, also saw a significant 18 percent increase in sales to 111,744 units. The Chrysler Group sold a combined total of 253,392 minivans, which accounts for almost half of the entire minivan segment’s sales in the United States in 2012.

April 11, 2012 The City of Auburn Hills, a dynamic community committed to innovation and growth, took delivery today of four Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Chrysler Town & Country minivans from Chrysler Group LLC as part of a two-year demonstration project that is a partnership between Chrysler Group and the U.S. Department of Energy. Chrysler is investing $15.8 million into the project and the U.S. Department of Energy is contributing $10 million. Only 25 test vehicles will be created, according to Abdullah A. Bazzi, Senior Manager of Electrified Power Train Programs for Chrysler Group.
